Privacy
Last updated 10 October 2026. Lumitree is made by one independent developer. We don't sell data, show ads, or use third-party trackers.
What we collect and why
- Account: a Sign in with Apple identifier, the display name you choose, and your time zone, to run your garden and show you to friends in your groves.
- Health: your daily step total from Apple Health, only to turn steps into light. Only the daily total leaves your phone. Health data is never used for advertising or sold.
- Game activity: orbs, light taken and given, focus sessions, groves, shields and similar, to run the game.
- Real trees: photos you take and the precise location where you take them, to verify the tree. Full photos and the exact location are visible only to you and our reviewers. Public certificate pages show small photos and the place rounded to about 1 km.
- Notifications: a push token for your device, to send the alerts you turn on.
- Usage events: a few in-app events (for example "gathered an orb") stored in our own database to improve the app. No third parties receive them.
Who sees what
Friends in your groves see your name, your tree, your orbs and your weekly score. Blocked people can't see you. Reports go to us only.
Where it's stored
On Supabase (our database and file storage provider) and Apple's push service. We keep data while your account exists.
Deleting your account
In the app: You → Settings → Delete account. This deletes your profile, garden, trees, photos and tokens. Groves you started stay for your friends.
Children
Lumitree is rated 12+ and isn't directed at children under 13.
