Privacy policy

Short version: your matches and health data stay on your devices. We don't collect them.

Last updated 2 October 2026. This policy covers the Soccer Ref app (called Football Ref in the UK) for iPhone and Apple Watch, made by Dhrumil Shah.

What the app stores

Matches you set up or referee: teams, colours, scores, cards, substitutions and timings.
Your settings, such as alerts and card codes.

This is stored only on your iPhone and Apple Watch and moves between them directly using Apple's Watch Connectivity. It is not sent to us or to any server.

Apple Health

With your permission, the watch app records each match as a workout and reads heart rate, distance and active energy during the match to show your own fitness per half. This data is read from and saved to Apple Health on your devices only. It is never sent to us, never used for advertising, and never shared with anyone. You can turn access off at any time in the Health app.

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. We don't see your payment details; we only learn from Apple whether Pro is active on your device.

What we don't do

No accounts or sign-in.
No analytics, advertising or tracking.
No data sold or shared with third parties.

Children

The app doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Deleting your data

Delete a match in the app, or delete the app to remove everything it stored. Workouts in Apple Health can be deleted in the Health app.
